Christine wrote the copy for this popular restaurant after interviewing the owners and chefs. The restaurant wanted a friendly feel to the copy while keeping an air of luxury and deliciousness! Christine was commissioned to write the copy for this site by Craig at local web design company Baseline.

This is the website for Nottingham wedding photographer Jon Rouston. He was having his website redone and wanted the words on his first website looking at, tweaking and rewriting where necessary. Christine also came up with ideas for his monthly newsletter for a full year – allowing him to get on with writing it each month.

This website is aimed at brides and wedding organisers. The company are based in a gorgeous boutique in London and wanted to draw attention to several services they offer. And of course needed the copy to be chic, unique and utterly fabulous. The writing for this site was commissioned through Lucy at HG Design Studio.

Homepage and content management

Christine currently works as part of the AOL homepage team, editing the main promo on the homepage. This prime real estate is intended as a showcase for AOL’s content. The promo’s function is to draw users into the site and enjoy the content on offer from news, sport and entertainment news to verticals such as money, cars and music.

Christine has worked at Yahoo twice: as an intern on the BT Yahoo homepage where she was an assistant content producer in the summer of 2004. In late 2006 she joined the out-of-hours homepage team for both the BT Yahoo and the Yahoo UK & Ireland homepages. Working to strict character limits and timescales, this is where Christine’s copy skills were sharpened.

A joint project between the BBC and the Arts Council, Christine liaised with several TV production companies involved to produce the content for this website. The role included accessing the BBC archives to find relevant material to put on the site. Christine also wrote bespoke articles about art from the area for each of the 44 Local sites.
