Does the background matter?

I was wondering whether you mind what your webpage looks like? Do you find it difficult to read coloured font? Does a background image distract you? Will you always print something out to read it?

I posed the question on Twitter and received a few interesting replies:

Branding and design specialist Paul_pndesign quoted an expert on dyslexia in his answer while Ollybenson’s reply was more what I was expecting.

Phoenixlily didn’t mind images – within reason and Rose_Darling hates clashing colour schemes!
