I knew it would only be a matter of time until a name was born for the “keyword-rich gibberish used as search engine fodder instead of thoughtfully written, interesting content” and it has – Spamglish.
So now we know.
But more than just having a name for this black hat technique, there’s now a recognition that quality content is important.
There’s no point in driving visitors to your site on false pretenses. They will only press their ‘back’ button, cursing the wasted semi-second.
Aim for the visitors you want by giving them the content they need.
Write as naturally as you can. Be engaging! Be informative! And if it’s all too much, employ a professional web copywriter *cough*.

my God, i thought you were going to chip in with some decisive insght at the end there, not leave it with ‘we leave it to you to decide’.

Hey SantaBlue, do you want spoonfeeding?I think the point is exactly that – YOU have to decide because it’s YOUR site. I counted four decisions you can make for yourself when you’re putting together copy – (1) be natural (2) try to engage the reader (3) aim to inform (4) if you’re rubbish, hire a pro copywriter. That’s not bad advice.
I’m with BadBob.
Give me the facts so that I can make an informed decision.
Thanks…
i have been into Copywriting lately and this stuff also requires some writing talent:*-
